Uniqueness:This is the Only Elephant Reserve in the State

Flora:Southern tropical dry deciduous & Thorn Forest. It consists of Albizzias, Accacias, Lagerstroemea, Ficus, Bamboo.

Fauna:Indian Elephant, Sloth Bear, Panther, Cheetal, Chowsingha, Sambar, Porcupine, Wild Boar, Jungle Cat, Jackal, Jungle Fowl, Starred Tortoise, Slender Loris.

Accessibility:50 Km by road from Chittoor. 120 Kms. from Bangalore. The nearest Airport is Bangalore & Tirupathi

Kinnerasani wildlife sanctuary

Kinnerasani wildlife sanctuary: National Park

Location: Khammam district

Area:Area 635.40 sq. kms

Uniqueness:This wildlife sanctuary is named after the picturesque Kinnerasani Lake which is densely forested. It has islands in the middle which presents a breath taking sight.

Flora:Dry deciduous teak forest with bamboo, terminalias, anogeissus, and cassia.

Fauna:Tiger, panther, gaur, cheetal, chinkara, chowsingha, sambar, wild boar, wild dog, hyena, jackal, sloth bear and a variety of ground nesting and aquatic birds. The kinnerasani lake and water pools harbour marsh crocodile.

Accessibility:15 kms. from Bhadrachalam road railway station. 15 kms. from Kothaguda..

Flora:The Sanctuary supports rich mangrove vegetation with plants like Rhizophora, Avicennia, Sonneratia, Aegiceros.

Fauna:Fishing Cat, Otter, Jackal, Estuarine Crocodile and a variety of local & migratory birds.

Uniqueness:This is the largest single green patch in Hyderabad City. It harbor?s the State animal of Andhra Pradesh, the Black Buck.

Flora:Dry deciduous forest mixed with scrub jungle and grasslands. The terrain varies from hilly to gently rolling. Sandalwood, Rosewood, Pala?s, Amalthas, Albizzias, Accacias, Teak.
